Grinding mill for apple and pear mash

Milling apples and pears efficiently for juice production or other uses requires equipment that delivers fine mash while ensuring high throughput and low energy consumption.

Ensures optimal mash structure and high throughput

The C25 grinding mill from Bucher Unipektin is engineered specifically to mash apples and pears with outstanding efficiency. Also suitable for grinding berries and vegetables, this mill produces fine mash particles using a patented discharge slot design. The structure features a housing with rectangular feed and discharge hoppers, a horizontal feed auger, a fast-turning rotor, and a grinding cage equipped with grinding knives. The rotor and feed auger are driven by an asynchronous motor, ensuring consistent and reliable operation. The innovative grinding cage, made with exchangeable segments, features discharge slots that offer high throughput and low energy usage. Cleaning and maintenance are straightforward, as the cage can be easily dismounted and rotated 180° for optimal use of the grinding knives. The grinding knives themselves feature different sized teeth to allow variations in mash structure as needed.

Benefits

  • High throughput with low energy consumption
