Flow through dissolution system for drug products
In pharmaceutical research, understanding the dissolution behavior of drug products is crucial for troubleshooting formulations and gaining insights into release profiles. Conventional methods might fall short in providing detailed visualization and analysis needed to refine drug formulations effectively.

Capture high-resolution imagery for dissolution analysis
The SDi2 by Pion is a flow through dissolution system featuring high-resolution, visible, and UV imaging technology. This system enables researchers to visualize the physical dissolution behavior of drug products in real time, providing high-resolution 2-D videos that capture the dissolution process as it happens. The SDi2 integrates fluidics with two distinct flow cells, offering automated control and switching capabilities for extensive analysis of various dosage forms and sample types. Its compact flow cell allows the quick measurement of intrinsic dissolution rates (IDR) and swelling characteristics, while the whole dosage flow cell accommodates final dosage forms like tablets and capsules, facilitating quantitative analysis. High-quality false color images and videos can be easily exported for presentations and publications through the SDi2 Analysis Software.
