The T.A.S.T.E. Evaporator by JBT FoodTech uses thermally accelerated short-time evaporation to pasteurize and stabilize juice during the pre-heating cycle and after the first evaporation stage. By introducing juice as a turbulent fog into the tube nest, the T.A.S.T.E. Evaporator achieves a heat transfer rate several times higher than conventional techniques, reaching speeds up to 700 km/hour in the tubes. This rapid heat transfer minimizes thermal damage, preserves juice quality, and reduces energy consumption. Designed specifically for citrus juice concentrate and other clear fruit juices, the unit also adapts to handle tomato paste through its Multi-Purpose T.A.S.T.E (MPTE) variant. In conjunction with a Forced Circulation Evaporator stage, it serves as an efficient pre-evaporator.
