Enzymatic inactivators for fruit juice extraction

In industrial fruit processing, the need to maintain product quality while optimizing extraction methods is crucial. Challenges such as enzyme activity and juice clarity often require specialized techniques to achieve consistent results, particularly for fruits like apples and pears.

Process fruit pulp with hot or cold extraction

The enzymatic inactivators from FBR ELPO offer two distinct systems for fruit juice extraction: Hot Break and Cold Break. The Hot Break system is ideal for heating the pulp before peeling, while the Cold Break method preheats the pulp after removal of the peels. In the Hot Break system, the pulp moves from the chopping unit to the pulping/refining unit. In the Cold Break process, the pulp moves from the pulper to the refiner via a heat exchanger. These systems can operate with or without a recycle pump and include a cooling section post-heating, making them versatile for various fruit types. FBR ELPO’s range of models covers multiple production capacities to meet diverse processing needs.

Benefits

  • Adaptable to both hot and cold extraction methods
  • Optimizes enzyme inactivation for juice clarity
  • Includes cooling section for temperature control
  • Supports various production capacities
  • Reduces potential for enzyme-related product degradation
