Eight zone tube furnace for controlled temperature profiles

In high-precision thermal processing, achieving uniform temperature distribution along a heated area is crucial. Specific applications, such as chemical vapor deposition, require carefully controlled temperature gradients to ensure process efficacy and product quality.

Enables precise temperature profile control

The AZ is an eight zone tube furnace designed by Carbolite Gero for creating controlled temperature profiles. This model features thick insulation and highly symmetrical winding of heating elements, ensuring a temperature uniformity of better than ± 5 °C. Each of the eight zones can be individually controlled and monitored using thermocouples, extending the uniform length inside the furnace and allowing for precise control of temperature profiles. This capability is particularly useful in processes like chemical vapor deposition, where a gradient is needed for the evaporation of precursor material and sublimation onto a substrate. The system includes automatic operation and data recording for quality management, along with the option for sophisticated digital controllers, multi-segment programmers, and data loggers. Additionally, a variety of tube diameters and materials, over-temperature protection, and modified atmosphere and vacuum assemblies are available on request.

Benefits

  • Improved temperature uniformity with better than ± 5 °C
  • Precise control over temperature gradients
  • Automatic operation and data recording
  • Customizable tube diameters and materials
