Desiccant wheel dryer for plastic processing

In the plastic processing industry, maintaining optimal material moisture levels during extrusion, injection molding, and blow molding is critical. Traditional drying methods often struggle with efficiency, space requirements, and maintenance, impacting overall production flow and material quality.

Achieve precise and efficient material drying

The ADP Series Desiccant Wheel Dryer from AEC (ACS Group) leverages advanced desiccant technology to provide a more efficient and compact drying solution for plastics processing. Traditional dryers often use molecular sieve pellets that degrade over time. In contrast, the ADP Series employs a synthetic substrate formed into a honeycomb structure, ensuring long-lasting performance. The system operates in three main sections: drying, regeneration, and cooling. Humid process air is dried in two stages and then returned to the drying hopper. The system includes Smart Mode for automatic adaptation to production needs and MPM (Material Protection Management) to avoid over-drying. Safety Loading System (SLS) further ensures material integrity. The ADP Series supports drying temperatures up to 365°F/185°C and adjustable dew points down to -58°F/-50°C.

Benefits

  • Reduced maintenance due to durable desiccant wheel
  • Efficient drying with temperatures up to 365°F/185°C
  • Smart Mode for adaptive process control
  • MPM system prevents material degradation
  • Compact design saves floor space
