Cutting mill combination for heterogeneous material reduction

Analytical laboratories and industrial facilities require precise sample preparation for the analysis of heterogeneous materials. The challenge often lies in reducing large, mixed material samples into fine, uniform specimens ready for further analysis.

Efficient sample reduction and division for analysis

The Cutting Mill Combination from Fritsch consists of the Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19 large and the Universal Cutting Mill PULVERISETTE 19. Operating at variable rotational speeds of 50-700 rpm and 300-3000 rpm respectively, this combination allows the processing of 2 liters of sample material with a particle size of 30 mm in a single step. The initial pre-crushing is performed by the PULVERISETTE 19 large, followed by automatic division and fine comminution by the PULVERISETTE 19 to achieve a final fineness of less than 500 μm. Equipped with a high-performance Cyclone separator, it ensures efficient sample exhaustion in a 60-liter container. The system can handle highly heterogeneous samples like household waste, construction debris, and automotive recycling fractions, making it suitable for applications in environmental analysis, construction materials, and the food industry. The patented two-stage comminution process and customizable accessories such as cutting tools and sieve cassettes contribute to its versatility and efficiency.

Benefits

  • Accurate and consistent sample division
  • Handles heterogeneous materials effectively
  • High throughput with minimal operator intervention
  • Customizable cutting tools and sieves
  • Reduced risk of cross-contamination
