Chamber bowl separator for protein recovery

In protein recovery processes, maintaining high separation efficiency for valuable solids while managing cooling and reliability is crucial. Traditional methods often fail to provide consistency and precision, leading to fluctuating yields and potential loss of valuable materials.

Achieve efficient protein recovery with chamber bowl separation

The Chamber Bowl Separator from GEA is designed specifically for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries to optimize protein recovery. Its robust design features a high-capacity bowl ranging from 300-600 l/h (PKB 25) to 500-1000 l/h (PKB 45), ensuring minimal loss of valuable solids. Product flow into the rotating bowl is fed centrally and moves towards the periphery, separating finer particles in the outer chamber. The precision engineering guarantees constant clarifying efficiency until the chamber is full. This separator is equipped with a cooled chamber to handle temperature-sensitive products efficiently. With product connections as TriClamp and all product-contacting parts made from high-alloyed stainless steel, this separator complies with FDA and USP Class VI requirements. Additionally, the system is driven by a 3-phase AC motor with a frequency converter and worm wheel gear, providing reliable and adjustable operation. For added versatility, options such as motor control, turbidity meters, and automatic pre- and post-filling systems are available.
