Centrifugal disc filter for solid-liquid separation

Optimize solid-liquid separation in your processing line with an advanced filtration system designed for efficient handling of high-volume suspensions and slurries, ensuring rapid and thorough purification while minimizing product loss.

Separates and Washes Solid-Liquid Suspensions Efficiently

The FUNDA® Centrifugal Disc Filter from GMM Pfaudler is a robust solution for efficient solid-liquid separation in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and energy sectors. This pressure filter uniquely combines horizontally arranged, self-supporting filter screens to facilitate pre-coat or residue filtration of large quantities of diluted suspensions. Designed for automation within a closed system, it minimizes product losses through heel volume filtration, effectively conducting cake washing in a cascade operation.

The FUNDA® filter is adaptable to various applications, offering two configurations: Type R for cake discharge and Type A for slurry discharge. It allows for versatile operations, with the capability for both cake and slurry discharge when configured appropriately. Its construction materials, available in stainless steel, Hastelloy, and other special alloys, provide strong corrosion resistance, crucial for handling aggressive substances.

This filter supports continuous and automated processes, integrating seamlessly into existing production lines with options for PLC-controlled systems and available pilot units to facilitate on-site testing.

Meeting stringent industry standards, the FUNDA® filter includes features such as dished filter plates with spacer and clamp rings, multi-layer sintered filter media, and various shaft sealing options. Engineers can benefit from MAVAG’s extensive range of off-the-shelf options and engineering expertise, ensuring rapid deployment and customization of your filtration system with standard, proven components.
