Cartoning system for triangular cheese portions

In cheese packaging, especially for processed cheese in triangular portions, efficiency and precision are essential. Challenges include maintaining product integrity, ensuring secure packaging, and meeting high production rates without compromising on quality.

Automate cheese portion boxing

The SF Series by IMA is a high-efficiency cartoning system designed specifically for triangular portions of processed cheese in round boxes. It automates the entire packaging process, from box feeding to closing, handling up to 75 boxes per minute. The system’s design allows for four layers of cheese portions per bundle, and it includes features such as vacuum pumps to minimize compressed air use, thus reducing energy consumption. The motorization system shares kinetic energy during braking among modules to avoid power waste. The bottom is placed over the formed bundle of portions, capsized, and fed to the outfeed belt where it receives the lid for closing. The SF3 version includes two parallel SF1 machines to enhance productivity. This system is compatible with sustainable and recyclable packaging materials.
