Carbon and sulfur analyzer for organic and inorganic samples

In environmental, pharmaceutical, and construction material industries, precise analysis of carbon and sulfur concentrations is essential. Professionals face challenges in accurately measuring these elements in both organic and inorganic samples, especially when dealing with heterogeneous materials or large sample volumes.

Simultaneously analyze carbon and sulfur concentrations

The CS‑580A from ELTRA Elemental Analysers is designed for the rapid and precise determination of carbon and sulfur in various sample matrices. This advanced analyzer uses a resistance furnace with a vertical ceramic tube and ceramic crucibles to handle the samples. Its automatic sample loader, available in configurations for 36 or 130 crucibles, allows for high-throughput analysis without the need for operator intervention. With temperature settings adjustable in steps of 1 °C up to a maximum of 1,550 °C, and the capacity to handle sample weights up to 500 mg, the CS-580A ensures reliable measurement even for inhomogeneous materials. Up to four independent infrared cells can be configured to measure carbon and sulfur concentrations, offering flexibility across diverse applications. The instrument is compatible with TOC analysis as per DIN EN 15936 with optional acid-resistant autosamplers and a TIC module. Suitable for industries such as agriculture, biology, coal and power plants, environmental recycling, and pharmaceuticals, it provides essential data with minimal operational complexity.
