Automated de-oiling centrifuge system for metalworking chips

In metalworking industries, removing oil from metal chips efficiently is crucial to avoiding batch contamination and ensuring safe disposal or recycling. This becomes challenging when dealing with chips of various types and shapes in large quantities.

De-oil metal chips with precision and reliability

The Automated System by CEPA is designed to de-oil metalworking chips using a centrifuge as the central component of a customizable and efficient system. The system components include lift-and-tilt devices, crushers, and feed and discharge conveyors, which are chosen based on the type, quantity, and shape of the chips. CEPA ensures the proper planning of the system by considering both current and future needs. The chips are collected and delivered to the centrifuge via a conveyor or screw, where they are processed to separate oil using slotted-hole screens. De-oiled chips are then either deposited into a chip trolley or transferred to a waiting container. This setup is tailored to prevent cross-contamination by processing only one type of metal at a time, making it suitable for handling large volumes of specific chip types in metalworking applications.
