Vial external washer for cytotoxic product decontamination
In pharmaceutical manufacturing, maintaining a contaminant-free environment is crucial, particularly when dealing with cytotoxic products. Occupational safety and product integrity are threatened without effective decontamination of vial exteriors post-filling.
Ensure safe and effective decontamination
The Hydra 100/300/400 by IMA is designed to decontaminate the external surfaces of glass or plastic cylindrical containers used in pharmaceutical applications. The system can use water or a dedicated washing media for toxic products, ensuring no contamination remains. Key features include rounded corners inside the processing area for better water drainage and machine cleanability, complete separation between process and mechanical areas via special seals, and segregated washing circuits. Additionally, the equipment has a reduced footprint, housing drives and washing circuits within the frame, making it space-efficient. It can handle vials of varying diameters and heights, with respective outputs up to 400 vials per minute, depending on size. The washing system also includes high-pressure water supply and air drying methods to prevent cross-contamination and ensure thorough decontamination.
Benefits
- Minimize contamination risk
- Maintain occupational safety
- Efficient use of space
- High throughput up to 400 vials/minute
- Easy machine cleanability and maintenance
