Vertical screw separator for slurries
In the processing of slurries from biogas plants, livestock manure, and industrial wastewater, separating solid and liquid components efficiently is a significant challenge. Effective separation can greatly impact the management of waste and by-products.

Separates solids and liquids with a vertical screw design
The SEPCOM Vertical by WAMGROUP is an innovative screw press solids-liquid separator designed for a variety of slurries, including those from biogas plants, industrial processes, and livestock breeding. It features a vertical work position and a twin-screw design made from SINT engineering polymer. This allows for the effective handling of various materials. The unique screen chamber design facilitates self-cleaning, ensuring minimal maintenance. The separator works by allowing the liquid phase to pass through the screen while the solid phase is lifted by two contra-rotating screws into the compacting module. This module uses a counter-pressure diaphragm to compact the solid material before discharge. The system can handle up to 28% dry matter and is suitable for a broad range of applications, including municipal and industrial wastewater treatment, as well as biogas digestate management.
Benefits
- Reduces overall management costs for solids-liquid separation
- Minimizes assembly and maintenance time
- Self-cleaning design reduces downtime
- Handles a wide range of materials efficiently
- Compact design saves space
