Tender tendon remover for poultry processing

In poultry processing, manually removing tendons from turkey tenders is labor-intensive and can lead to repetitive strain injuries for workers. The need for a more efficient and safe method is essential to increase production rates and improve worker safety.

Automate tendon removal to enhance efficiency

The TTP-Series Tender Tendon Removers by JBT are designed to automate the removal of tendon straps from turkey tenders using a consistent method. The series includes two models: the TTP-4 featuring a single strap-pulling head, optimized for online operations, and the TTP-3 with a dual strap-pulling head for higher production volumes in offline operations. Both models increase tendon removal speeds, enhancing process efficiency and improving tender yield compared to manual removal methods. The automation reduces the risk of hand and wrist injuries commonly associated with manual tendon removal tasks. The TTP-4 model operates with two 1 hp motors, handling up to 60 tenders per minute, while the TTP-3 model also operates with two 1 hp motors but doubles the production rate to 120 tenders per minute. Minimal water requirements and compact design make these models suitable for various processing setups.
