Sub-vertical mechanical perforated screens for wastewater treatment
In wastewater treatment, both municipal and industrial facilities face the challenge of removing fine particles from sewage. Traditional screens often struggle with blockages and high maintenance needs, making it difficult to ensure efficient solids separation in deep channels.

Fine screening of waste water
The GVS Sub-vertical Mechanical Perforated Screen by WAMGROUP is designed for fine screening in wastewater treatment plants. This robust system features a steel frame and a perforated plate filter that varies according to the required screening efficiency. Equipped with chain-driven brushes and wiper blades, it ensures continuous cleaning of the perforated plates, thus reducing blockage and maintenance needs. The screen operates at a 75-degree incline and can handle channel widths from 400 to 2,000 mm, making it suitable for both municipal and industrial applications. The materials used in its construction can be hot dip galvanized steel or stainless steel (304L/316L), extending its durability and performance.
Benefits
- Low maintenance costs due to continuous self-cleaning mechanism
- Suitable for deep-channel installation
- Easy replacement of wipers, blades, and brushes
- No lower sprocket or bearings, reducing service requirements
- Flexible material and specification options
