The Polyplex PPC from Hosokawa Alpine is an integrated shredder-granulator designed to simplify plastic recycling. This system combines a vertically arranged shredder rotor with a granulator rotor, allowing you to handle diverse plastic waste efficiently in one step. The shredder rotor handles pre-comminution through self-dosing, after which the material falls into the granulator section. This dual-stage process achieves granulator fineness values down to approximately 5 mm, making it suitable for an extensive range of plastic materials like blow mouldings, profiles, and extrusions. The system accommodates feed material lengths up to 6 meters and handles machine purgings over 100 kg without pre-sorting or controlled feeding. Maintenance is straightforward with optimal access to cutting chambers and components, reducing downtime and enhancing productivity.
