Rotary shear for wood chips and biomass processing

When dealing with the challenge of converting raw feedstocks like wood chips, corn stover, and bamboo into uniform particles, traditional equipment can often require pre-drying and consume high amounts of energy. This process can be inefficient and costly, especially for materials with varying moisture contents.

Achieve uniform particle size efficiently

The M24M Series Crumbler® from Forest Concepts is a medium-scale rotary shear designed to handle a wide range of materials including wood chips, corn stover, switchgrass, bamboo, sage, hemp, and agave. Capable of processing up to 2 wet tons (1 dry ton) per hour and 4,000 wet tons (2,000 dry tons) per year, it produces highly uniform particles that enhance conversion efficiencies. Unlike traditional systems, it operates efficiently without requiring pre-drying of high and low moisture feedstocks. Featuring options for 20hp or 30hp energy consumption and customizable PLC controls, this compact rotary shear fits seamlessly into various system configurations, including single unit, stacked, or sequential setups. The modular design accommodates different cutter-width processing heads, allowing for precise tailoring of particle sizes. With a small footprint of 4.8’ x 4.3’, smooth and quiet operation, and standard 460VAC 3ph power, it offers robust performance with low energy requirements.
