Rapid cooling oven for thermo-luminescent dosimeters
Handling thermo-luminescent dosimeters (TLD) in radiation exposure measurement requires precise temperature control. A primary challenge is efficiently annealing TLDs to remove prior exposure readings, requiring equipment capable of rapid heating and cooling cycles.
Enables precise Tld annealing and rapid cooling
The TLD Rapid Cooling Oven by Carbolite Gero is tailored for the annealing of thermo-luminescent dosimeters, efficiently heating to a maximum operating temperature of 400°C and rapidly cooling to ambient temperature using forced air. This oven’s horizontal forced air circulation ensures even temperature distribution, making it suitable for other small-scale tempering and annealing tasks. Its robust construction includes a stainless steel liner and stainless steel mesh shelves for durability and ease of cleaning. The CC-T1 programmable controller provides automatic activation of the cooling blower, ensuring consistent and reliable performance. Optional features such as sophisticated digital controllers, multi-segment programmers, data loggers, and independent over-temperature protection can be specified to meet diverse operational needs.
