The Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) MOUDI™ Impactor 140 from TSI Systems is an advanced instrument that combines quartz crystal microbalance and cascade impaction technologies. This unique integration allows for direct mass-based size distribution measurements in real time, significantly reducing setup and measurement time from hours to minutes. The QCM MOUDI™ features six stages of micro-orifice impaction with sharp collection efficiency curves and calibrated cutpoints at 960, 510, 305, 156, 74, and 45 nm. It includes an integrated humidity conditioning system to ensure accurate mass measurements and eliminate solid particle bounce. The system supports a sample flow rate of 10 L/min and filters out particles larger than 2.5 micrometers at the inlet, making it suitable for a range of applications including air pollution sampling, inhalation toxicology testing, and industrial hygiene studies.
