Potash conditioning system
In the production of granular potash, achieving high-quality surface coating and drying is critical. Traditional methods often fail to provide uniform granule coating and rapid drying, leading to suboptimal product quality and operational inefficiencies.

Enhances granule coating and drying process
The GEA Potash Conditioning System features a conditioning drum and fluid bed designed specifically for the glazing, polishing, and drying of granular potash. As potash feed enters the conditioning drum, spray water nozzles distribute a fine mist of water, ensuring even coating of the granules. Inside the drum, lifters promote rapid tumbling for optimal polishing. The wetted potash is then discharged directly into a fluid bed dryer via a discharge chute. The fluidization bed plate ensures an optimal degree of fluidization, effectively distributing material across the bed while preventing particles from falling through to the lower plenum. A forced draft fan supplies process fluidization air, and exhaust gases are filtered through a baghouse before being discharged. Adjustable residence time and a controlled bed depth ensure thorough drying and hardening of granules. The system is maintained under slightly sub-atmospheric conditions via balanced forced and induced draught fans, eliminating the need for air seals at feed and discharge points. The supplier of this system is GEA.
