Peeling machine for root vegetables

In vegetable processing facilities, achieving consistent and high-quality peel on root vegetables such as potatoes and carrots is crucial. Traditional methods often result in uneven peeling and unnecessary waste, requiring more precise and efficient solutions.

Versatile peeling for different root vegetables

The Sormac peeling solution is a versatile and efficient system designed for carborundum and knife peeling of various root vegetables, including potatoes, celeriac, kohlrabi, red beets, and baby carrots. Featuring two model versions, the carborundum-based CBS-60 and the knife-based MBS-60, it accommodates diverse peeling needs with precision. The CBS-60 version uses a carborundum-covered interior and disc, ensuring even peeling across the product. In contrast, the MBS-60 version uses precision knife adjustment and a blue rubber skin inside the drum to minimize bruising and peeling losses. Both models offer a compact construction with an internal motor for ease of cleaning, and the ability to handle vegetables with diameters between 10 to 180 mm. They support up to 1,000 kg per hour, depending on product type and waste percentage. Optional features include a pneumatic outfeed flap and a supply conveyor with a timer for automated processing.
