Hand-foot-clothing contamination monitor
In nuclear medicine departments, monitoring for contamination on hands, feet, and clothing is crucial to ensure safety and prevent the spread of radioactive materials. Traditional methods may not efficiently detect all isotopes, posing a risk to personnel and the environment.
Detect beta and gamma emitting isotopes
The VLB SERIES from Comecer includes hand-foot-clothing monitors designed with plastic scintillation detectors to measure beta and gamma emitting isotopes commonly found in nuclear medicine. The VLB-303-2 model features durable stainless steel construction, a double-sided hands detector, and a foot detector. The VLB-303-2-ST version adds detectors for stomach and thyroid activity measurements. Both models utilize the VERA 303 software for user data management via RFID badges, creating reports and temporary access for visitors. These monitors provide precise measurements, improving safety protocols and contamination control.
