Gas contactor for hydrogen sulfide removal from biogas and sour gas

Managing hydrogen sulfide (H2S) in biogas from anaerobic digesters and landfill gas, as well as sour gas from oil and gas operations, can be challenging due to its corrosive nature. Effective removal of H2S is critical for safety, environmental compliance, and cost efficiency.

Convert h2s to elemental sulfur efficiently

The BgPur™ and SgPur™ Gas Contactors from Kovalus Separation Solutions employ a compact gas/liquid contactor and liquid chemical catalyst to treat biogas and sour gas. These systems convert H2S into solid elemental sulfur, reducing the concentration of H2S and generating a resaleable byproduct. The process does not consume the chemical catalyst, which minimizes chemical make-up requirements and significantly lowers operating costs. The BgPur™ system is tailored for biogas treatment, while the SgPur™ system is designed for sour gas from oil and gas operations. Both systems are fully automated, scalable, and ensure consistent H2S removal with over 99% efficiency.
