Freeze concentration system for liquid food concentrates
When producing high-quality liquid food concentrates, effective methods to reduce water content while preserving flavor and nutritional value are essential. Traditional methods often fall short in maintaining these qualities, requiring innovative solutions to optimize both process efficiency and product quality.

Ensure gentle and precise concentrate production
The IceCon® Compact by GEA is designed to offer a complete and efficient solution for freeze concentration, specifically tailored for the liquid food industry. This system operates within a compact, skid-mounted setup, which houses all necessary components for a seamless and continuous operation. The system ensures minimal loss of quality during the concentration process, and the discharged water is negligible and can be reused or disposed of efficiently. Available in three different models—Compact 25, Compact 40, and Compact 60—the IceCon® Compact can handle dewatering rates ranging from 100 to 900 kg/h, making it versatile for various production needs. Moreover, the system’s small footprint allows for easy installation and fast startup, facilitated by pre-commissioned and tested modules. GEA’s freeze concentrator only requires electricity and can recover energy for a reduced CO2 footprint when a pre-cooling skid is utilized.
