Flower bulb counting solution

In the agricultural industry, accurately counting and packaging flower bulbs is crucial for maintaining consistent inventory and meeting high standards of product quality. Traditional manual counting methods often lead to errors and inefficiencies, necessitating a more precise and automated solution.

Accurately scan and count bulbs

The TTZ-E780/5112 from Cremer is designed to accurately scan and count flower bulbs of various shapes and sizes. This system is typically used for filling carton boxes and trays, which are delivered and positioned by a Cremer box conveyor. The machine features an inclined, speed-adjustable supply belt and multi-lane vibratory plates to ensure proper separation of bulbs. The TTZ-E has five or seven detection channels, dependent on the required channel width, tailored to the bulb shape and size. The integrated ‘IMO’ detection system guarantees 100% accurate counting of different types of bulbs like tulip, hyacinth, and narcissus, even with loose skins. Fast-acting pneumatic gates capture and collect the counted bulbs, ensuring each box or tray receives the precise number of bulbs. The system’s modular-based design facilitates scalable performance and allows for quick, tool-free changeovers with minimal format parts.
