Externally fed drum screen for wastewater treatment
When dealing with wastewater from industrial and municipal purification plants, there is a clear need for effective fine screening to remove solids. Traditional methods might not be sufficient for achieving high standards of cleanliness and process efficiency.

Offers fine screening of sewage
The Externally Fed Drum Screen SGR by WAMGROUP is designed for fine screening of sewage from both industrial and municipal purification plants. This equipment consists of a stainless steel screen drum enclosed in a stainless steel tank and features a wedge wire screen that retains solids due to its trapezoidal slots. Wastewater is directed onto the drum’s outer surface through a distributor, where solids are captured and subsequently discharged. The screen is kept clean via a brass plate and a high-pressure nozzle system. It is driven by a gear reducer for smooth operation. Additionally, the drum offers high flow rates and fine spacing, ensuring efficient and reliable performance. The compact design allows for easy installation in confined spaces.
Benefits
- Compact design suitable for narrow spaces
- High flow rates with fine spacing
- Self-cleaning for minimal maintenance
