The system allows for screen changes while the machine is stopped, with a piston that moves out hydraulically to facilitate quick and easy screen pack exchanges. The ESD boasts approximately 65% effective screen area, contributing to higher throughput. The flow-optimized melt channels and low pressure build-up protect both the material and the screens, preventing dead spots for faster material changes.
