Depyrogenation tunnel for pharmaceutical vials
In pharmaceutical processing, ensuring vials remain free from contamination and pyrogens is critical for patient safety. Traditional batch ovens for depyrogenation pose considerable risks of recontamination due to manual handling and transfer. A more advanced solution is necessary to maintain vial sterility throughout the process.

Automate vial sterilization and depyrogenation
The Hull i-Dositecno Depyrogenation Tunnel from SP I-docitecno offers fully automated sterilization and depyrogenation for pharmaceutical vials. Operating at a standard temperature of 320°C, this tunnel effectively reduces pyrogens to undetectable levels in less than one minute, achieving a 1-log reduction in 9.5 seconds, a 4-log reduction in 38 seconds, and a 6-log reduction in 57 seconds. The silicon-controlled rectifier (SCR) heating elements ensure precise temperature control, while recirculated hot air blows over the vials at 0.7 m/s, maintaining the setpoint within 2°C. The system requires no human intervention, thus eliminating the risk of recontamination. It supports continuous aseptic processing and adapts easily to batch sizes without needing format parts. Each chamber is segmented by gates and monitored for leakage using dispersed Oil Particulate (DOP) testing of HEPA filters, guaranteeing sterilization efficiency and reliability.
