Continuous soya protein extraction system

In producing high-quality soya milk and other soya-based beverages, achieving a superior protein yield and reducing water consumption are critical. Conventional extraction methods often require extensive soaking and blanching, which can lead to higher operational costs and environmental impact.

Facilitates continuous protein extraction from soya beans

The Tetra PakĀ® Extraction Unit is a continuous extraction system designed for processing whole or dehulled soya beans without the need for soaking or blanching. This results in lower water consumption and less wastewater discharge. The unit is engineered to provide high protein yield and longer running time while ensuring easy cleaning in place (CIP). The system includes three integrated sections: grinding, fiber separation, and enzyme deactivation, which together produce a soya base with high protein content and nutritional value. Suitable for producing various RTD (ready-to-drink) soya products, including low-beany soya milk, soya/cow milk blends, and soya juices. Tetra Pak also supports the entire lifecycle of the extraction unit with extensive expertise and facilities such as the Soya & Tea Centre in Singapore and the Process Development Centre in Shanghai.
