The Sormac MS Series, including the MS-20, MS-30, and MS-10, are continuous knife drum peelers designed for high-efficiency peeling of pre-washed or pre-peeled root vegetables. These machines address challenges in achieving uniform peel removal by leveraging a horizontal, rotating drum equipped with strategically positioned knives to prevent flat peeling and ensure optimal produce yield. With the capacity to process between 1,500 and 3,500 kg/h depending on the model and peeling configuration, the MS series caters to diverse needs within the food and agricultural processing industries.

The peeling process is controlled through adjustable RPM settings for both the drum and the transport auger, allowing precise manipulation of dwell time and peeling intensity. Suitable for applications involving potatoes, red beets, and celeriac, the MS Series ensures high-quality end-products, including peeled potatoes and polished pre-peeled root vegetable mixes.

Engineered with efficiency in mind, the patented drum design and floating suspension system contribute to minimal friction, reduced noise, and long-lasting durability. The integration of IP66-rated aseptic motors secures the machine against water ingress and unwanted air circulation over the produce. Cleaning and maintenance are simplified by a large drum hatch, facilitating easy access for inspection and sanitation.

The MS-20/Combi variant introduces pre-peeling capabilities for unprocessed potatoes, simulating a pre-peel effect for consistent quality. Optional accessories, such as the waste transportation system and excenter waste pump, enhance process integration, making the MS Series a versatile and reliable choice for continuous root vegetable processing.
