Align and top carrots with precision
The automatic carrot topper WOA-3/4 from Sormac features an infeed hopper with a singulation system and a special conveyor that ensures precise alignment and cutting of carrots. The robust construction consists of aluminium trays mounted on heavy-duty drive belts, ensuring reliability and durability. Its unique driven levelling unit provides a uniform depth of carrots onto the singulation elevator, promoting seamless processing. Two types of singulation systems accommodate different carrot diameters: Type S (25–55 mm) and Type L (40–85 mm). Depending on the setup, it can cut carrots into preset lengths starting from 40 mm. The equipment’s design facilitates easy maintenance and cleaning, with threaded spindle motors for lowering the transport tray section, granting complete access to internal parts. The WOA-3 handles carrots up to 350 mm long, while the WOA-4 manages lengths up to 250 mm. Adjustable capacity ranges from 1,000 to 5,000 kg/hour, with maximum carrot processing rates varying based on machine type.
