Automated calibration tool for tablet hardness testers
In pharmaceutical quality control, ensuring the precision of tablet hardness measurements is crucial. Traditional manual calibration methods require considerable effort and introduce potential human errors. An automated calibration tool can simplify this process, improving accuracy and efficiency.
Automate calibration without external devices
The AutoCal 2.0 by ERWEKA is a dynamic calibration tool designed for automated calibration of tablet hardness testers. It eliminates the need for weights, an external PC, and software. The calibration process is straightforward: connect the AutoCal 2.0 USB stick to the USB interface of the TBH x25 or use an adapter for earlier models. A certified load cell is inserted into the hardness test station, allowing the system to perform automatic adjustments. Calibration can be controlled for linearity by checking up to three points within the measuring range. Additionally, a documentary report is generated via the standard printer interface. This system simplifies the calibration process, minimizing user intervention and potential errors.
Benefits
- Reduces manual calibration effort
- Improves accuracy of tablet hardness measurements
- Generates documentary reports automatically
- Requires no external PC or software
- Ensures consistent calibration results
