The DSI X-ray Guided Waterjet Portioning System by JBT combines the robust DSI™ 800 S series waterjet system with the innovative Flexscan™ inspection system. This setup uses dual-lane X-ray technology to accurately locate bones and other features in the pork ribs, then employs a high-pressure (87,000 psi) waterjet to cut the product according to user-defined parameters. This automated setup minimizes labor while improving the quality and consistency of the cuts. The system also includes enhanced ventilation to reduce mist and noise, an upgraded cutter assembly for improved performance and reduced maintenance, and an expandable platform that can accommodate up to eight cutters. Ideal for tough pork applications, it integrates directly with JBT’s X-ray system, providing a streamlined and space-efficient solution.
