Trim aorta and remove pericardial tissue
The Prime THP-1 Turkey Heart Processor by JBT is designed to efficiently trim the aorta and other arterial material from turkey hearts. After trimming, the hearts are transitioned to a peeler roller bed, where the pericardial membrane and excess fat are removed. Capable of processing over 40 pieces per minute with a single operator, the THP-1 features removable product cavities for easy loading and quick sanitation. This solution reduces labor costs associated with manual trimming and improves product yield and consistency. It operates with a guarded cutting area to ensure safe operation. The processor requires (2) 1 hp and (1) 1/2 hp motors, 480V, 3 ph, 60 Hz, 30 amps for electrical needs and 2.0 GPM (7.57 LPM) at 30-60 PSI for water requirements. Net weight is 400 lbs. (181 kg).
