Travelling bridges for sludge removal in wastewater treatment

In both municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants, efficient removal of sludge and scum is crucial. Challenges arise in ensuring quick installation, low maintenance, and effective operation in various tank configurations.

Automate sludge and scum removal

The PVS Travelling Bridges by WAMGROUP are designed to remove sludge and scum from rectangular settling tanks in municipal and industrial wastewater treatment plants. The system features a movable truck supported by traction trolleys, with surface and bottom scrapers installed underneath. The central gear motor drives the bridge, moving it back and forth to convey settled sludge through the bottom scraper into a collection hopper. Scum and floating matter are gathered by a surface scraper and transferred into a scum collecting channel, all operated by a single gear motor. Available for tanks up to 12 meters wide and 50 meters long, the PVS Travelling Bridges offer quick installation, high efficiency in sludge and scum removal, and minimal maintenance requirements. Constructed from hot-dip galvanized carbon steel or stainless steel (304L/316L), they can be tailored to different materials and tank sizes, making it an adaptable solution for various wastewater treatment processes.
