Tobacco strips conditioning cylinder

When processing tobacco strips, achieving uniform conditioning and loosening is crucial to maintain quality. Without proper conditioning, the product can suffer from uneven moisture distribution, affecting further stages of processing.

Uniformly condition and loosen tobacco strips

The COMAS Direct Conditioning Cylinder (DCC) offers an effective solution for conditioning all types of lamina strips and leaf. Designed to provide optimal loosening and uniform conditioning, the DCC can be customized to meet specific processing requirements. Features include variable cylinder angle inclination, adjustable rotational speed, and a fully heated discharge hood. The heated cylinder body enhances moisture absorption, while the internal paddle/pin geometry ensures efficient loosening. An automated cleaning system minimizes downtime. The DCC is equipped with a casing application system (DCCC) and process steam for initial moistening. It’s ideal for multi-grade tobacco conditioning, ensuring each grade achieves its best processing results. Comas (Coesia Group) supplies the DCC along with a service cubicle that houses all necessary utilities for the conditioning process.
