The Soft Sorter by TOMRA is designed to remove undesirable soft fruits from packing lines. Using Dura Touch technology, it measures and sorts fruit based on their physical attributes. The system can reject more than 80% of visibly undetectable soft fruit at high throughputs of up to 2,300kg per hour. Softness levels can be adjusted with a simple touchscreen interface, and the machine’s components, including Dura Touch sensors, are washdown safe for easy cleaning. Additionally, the Soft Sorter can integrate with the FreshTracker management system to provide real-time packing information, enhancing operational efficiency.
