Smelting furnace for precious metals

In industries focused on the extraction and purification of precious metals, achieving high temperatures and maintaining precise control during smelting are essential. Without reliable heating solutions, the process can introduce impurities, reduce yield, and increase operational costs.

Top-loading smelting furnace for precious metal applications

The SCF series by Carbolite Gero is a top-loading crucible furnace designed specifically for smelting precious metals. Available in three sizes, these furnaces can reach a maximum operating temperature of 1400°C. Constructed from heavy gauge hollow steel sections and zinc-coated sheet steel panels, they feature silicon carbide heating elements protected by silicon carbide tiles. The hearth, made of refractory bricks and silicon carbide tiles, ensures durability and efficiency. The SCF 1 model includes a single chamber, while other models come with twin chambers and separate lids for versatility. Each lid opens horizontally and is vented by a 50 mm diameter chimney. Options for sophisticated digital controllers, multi-segment programmers, and data loggers with various communication interfaces are available, making the system adaptable to your needs.
