Seed conditioning system for soybeans and rapeseed

When processing soybeans or rapeseed, effective seed conditioning is crucial to ensure high-quality end products. Traditional methods often involve multiple heating stages, leading to high energy consumption and increased infrastructure costs.

Steam conditioning to save energy and enhance processing

The vertical seed conditioner OLKA by Bühler is designed for the steam heating conditioning of soybeans, rapeseed, or other free-flowing grains. Unlike conventional systems, the OLKA heats beans only once using a warm dehulling process, significantly saving on thermal energy and infrastructure costs. The heating sections are arranged in a criss-cross method, with each section’s tubes rotated by 90 degrees from the one below, ensuring uniform heating without cold spots. The stackable heating modules allow for customizable configurations to meet specific processing requirements. Featuring special elliptical tubes made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, the OLKA offers excellent heat transfer and wear resistance.

Benefits

  • Reduced energy costs due to single-stage heating
  • Uniform heating with no cold spots
  • Configurable for specific processing needs
  • High wear resistance with corrosion-resistant materials
  • Ease of maintenance with multiple access points
