Occ screen for separating large cardboard

In recycling and waste management facilities, the efficient separation of large cardboard from smaller materials like paper and small cardboard is critical. Manual sorting poses challenges, including high labor costs and inconsistent results.

Automate cardboard separation with rubber star screens

The Lubo OCC Screen by Bollegraaf is designed to separate large cardboard from the rest of the material stream effectively. It uses a series of axles with 660mm rubber stars mounted on them. The star size, interval, and rotation speed can be adjusted to determine screening size. This system relies on the difference in size and rigidity between cardboard and other materials. The double setting of stars at the feed prevents medium-sized materials from falling through. A key feature is the patented Quick Disconnect design, which allows for fast changing of star shafts without needing to dismount bearings, drives, sprockets, or chains. This reduces maintenance time from hours to minutes, keeping operational costs low and maximizing uptime.
