The UG series by Probat is a line of industrial gas roasters designed to deliver consistently high-quality coffee by providing precise control over the roasting process. Developed in the 1920s and built according to the original plans, these roasters utilize modern drive, burner, and electrical technology while maintaining a retro design. Each roaster is equipped with thermocouples to record machine- and process-related data, ensuring optimal control and reproducible results. The traditional ‘aroma wheel’ allows for targeted airflow adjustment, facilitating flexibility in the aroma development of different coffee types. With a maximum batch size of 25 kilograms and available as hydrogen-powered versions, the UG series is adaptable for various heating sources. Available in two models, UG15 and UG22, these roasters cater to different batch sizes and provide options for manual or semiautomatic control via a touch panel.
