Industrial drum feeder for waste paper sorting systems

In large-scale waste paper sorting operations, maintaining a consistent flow of material is crucial to optimize sorting efficiency. High variability in input material can lead to downtime and inefficiencies, requiring a robust solution to streamline the feeding process.

Ensures continuous material flow

The BRS Drum Feeder from Bollegraaf is designed to enhance waste paper sorting systems by providing a consistent feed of material. This drum feeder includes a drum with Hardox combs, a durable steel deck, and material carriers driven by a chain with two tension bearings. These bearings, equipped with a grease cartridge, ensure a minimum of 10,000 working hours. The Drum Feeder also features ring seals and self-adjusting bearings to minimize pollution between the side walls of the bunker belt and the drum. By offering a buffer for material, it increases the capacity and improves the quality of sorting installations. Additionally, the feeder reduces the operation time for shovel operators as it only needs filling a few times per hour. It can be combined with an HBST steel belt conveyor that has a 2000mm high side wall or placed in a recessed or concrete pit for easier material loading.

Benefits

  • Increases sorting capacity and quality
  • Reduces operator workload by requiring less frequent refilling
  • Durable construction ensures long operational life
  • Minimizes pollution between components for cleaner operation
  • Flexible installation options for various setups
