Horizontal canister filter for poultry processing

During poultry processing, water used in the various stages often contains solids and particulate matter that need to be removed to meet environmental regulations and reduce water consumption. Effective filtration is crucial for reusing this water or directing it safely to wastewater treatment systems.

Remove solids from process water efficiently

The Prime HCF-Series Horizontal Canister Filters from JBT are designed to remove solids from process water in poultry processing. These filters work in conjunction with Prime’s LFS-Series Screens in a two-stage process. Initially, the LFS-Series drum screen filters out particles larger than 0.010 inches (250 microns). Subsequently, the HCF-Series filters use wedgewire screens with a 0.005-inch (125 microns) gap to handle water volumes of up to 600 GPM. Each typical system includes these stages to ensure thorough filtration. The horizontal canister filters are available with integrated storage racks for easy maintenance and feature a low-lift design that simplifies filter replacement without needing to disconnect plumbing. Capable of fitting any system size, from self-contained units to large-scale, automated systems, these filters are part of JBT Prime’s fully engineered water reuse solutions aimed at saving water and reducing operational costs.
