The Alfa Laval Alhop Dry Hopping System is a stand-alone unit designed to optimize the dry hopping or cold hopping process for medium size breweries. This system accelerates the extraction rate of hop flavors and aromas through dynamic agitation within a cross flow recirculation loop, ensuring a high product throughput without risking clogging. The Alhop keeps hop pellets homogenized in the beer, allowing for efficient flavor infusion. Additionally, the design minimizes the introduction of hop solids into the final product and significantly reduces product losses. Hop slurry is recovered and concentrated via diafiltration, and alpha acids are efficiently extracted by washing with deaerated water (DAW), resulting in a pumpable hop suspension.
