Crushing mill for berries and stone fruits

Processing berries and stone fruits into fine mash for juice production demands equipment that minimizes suspended solids and oxidation. Optimizing this process improves juice quality and extraction efficiency.

Produces fine mash with adjustable crushing

The KVS 2-80 Grinding Mill from Bucher Unipektin is designed for producing fine mash from berries and stone fruits. Featuring contra-rotating steel rollers with adjustable gap clearance, it ensures minimal suspended solids and reduced oxidation. The mill includes a housing with both a feed aperture and a product ejection aperture. The rollers are driven by an asynchronous motor with a frequency converter for controlled operation. Torque protection prevents damage from foreign objects, and the drive system stops automatically if critical torque levels are exceeded. This grinding mill processes up to 8–12 tons of berries per hour, weighs 325 kg, and measures 1562 x 733 x 576 mm (L x W x H). It operates with a connected load of 4 kW at 400 V, using stainless steel (DIN 1.4301) for all product-contacting parts.

Benefits

  • Adjustable crushing settings for optimal mash consistency
  • Reduces suspended solids and product oxidation
  • Automatic stop for motor protection
