Processes High-Moisture Biomass into Uniform Particles
The M8L Series Crumbler® Rotary Shear from Forest Concepts offers a compact yet robust solution for laboratories and biomass processing facilities. Specially designed to process a wide range of materials without pre-drying, it accommodates wood chips, switchgrass, bamboo, hemp, and more. With a processing capacity of up to 1/2 wet tons per hour, it produces precise particles vital for biofuel and renewable energy applications.
The M8L Series employs interchangeable processing heads available in multiple cutter widths, allowing you to tailor particle sizes to your project needs. Its smooth, quiet operation is complemented by low energy consumption and an 8″ wide infeed capacity. The equipment is PLC-controlled with options for manual or vibratory infeed, offering both user-adjustable and fixed cutter speed controls.
Made with durability in mind, the series operates on standard 460VAC 3-phase power, with additional options for 220VAC 1ph and 110VAC 1ph. Dust control may be necessary depending on the moisture content of the feedstocks. The Crumbler®’s small footprint and adaptability make it ideal for research labs, academic institutions, and agricultural research centers focused on bioenergy and material testing.
