Chicken neck and shoulder skinner

When processing poultry, achieving optimal yield and maintaining hygiene standards are critical. Traditional skinning methods can result in inconsistent cuts and increased contamination risk.

Optimize yield and hygiene in poultry processing

The Prime CSNS-2 Chicken Neck & Shoulder Skinner by JBT is designed for efficient in-line skinning of chicken necks and shoulders. It features patented bladeless skinning assemblies to ensure precise and thorough skin removal. A positive-feed indexing device maintains upright birds, reducing dragging and the associated contamination risks seen with conventional peeler-roller systems. The skinner’s adjustable height and angle enhance versatility, and its design facilitates improved pre-chill bacteria counts by effectively removing the neck skin and crop. The unit requires (2) 1 hp motors with electrical specifications of 480V, 3ph, 60 Hz, and 10 amps. Additionally, it demands a water connection of 1/4 inch with minimum pressure of 400 PSI at 7 GPM. With a net weight of 1,600 lbs (680 kg) and a production rate of up to 160 birds per minute (BPMS), it is suitable for high-capacity operations.
