Ashing furnace for biomass with afterburner

In laboratory and industrial settings, ashing larger samples or materials like biomass that generate substantial smoke requires a robust solution. Traditional ashing methods may struggle with smoke management and ensure complete combustion.

Efficient ash production with high-temperature afterburner

The ABF Afterburner Ashing Furnace from Carbolite Gero is designed specifically for ashing larger samples or smoke-generating materials such as biomass. It features a large main combustion chamber equipped with two-tier sample baskets. The exhaust from the main chamber is processed through a high-temperature afterburner rated for up to 40 g carbon per ashing load, ensuring further fume and smoke processing. The furnace’s chamber operates at a maximum temperature of 800°C, while the afterburner can be independently controlled up to 950°C. The programmable EPC3016P1 controller allows for precise temperature management, and the system includes silicon carbide shielded wire wound elements. The furnace is supplied with a 3-phase supply as standard and features Ethernet communications.
