Ash handling pumps for dense phase pneumatic conveying

Moving large quantities of ash in power plants and heavy industries presents significant challenges. Traditional methods often struggle with long distances, high temperatures, and varying ash types, necessitating a reliable and efficient system for effective ash management.

Optimal conveyance with high efficiency

The Schenck Process ash handling pumps feature dense phase pneumatic conveying technology, aimed at handling fine and coarse fly ash from electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) or bag filters. The Multi PD Pump is capable of conveying distances up to 750 meters, utilizing smaller pipe sizes for efficient air consumption. It can be also configured with up to 8 pumps on a single pipeline. The installation includes essential components like Dome Valve, electro-pneumatic controls, and necessary piping pre-wired for rapid integration. Additionally, the Multi Dense Phase System can handle high temperatures up to 480ºC with throughput rates of up to 100 tons per hour, making it suitable for diverse industrial applications. This system is particularly beneficial for handling a variety of ash types from economizers, air heaters, and waste incinerators.

Benefits

  • Efficient long-distance conveying up to 750 meters
  • Low specific air consumption with smaller pipe sizes
  • High temperature operation up to 480ºC
  • Handles varying ash types from multiple sources
  • Easy integration and low maintenance
